The Estonian Health Care Museum was nominated to the most prestigious museum award in Europe – the European Museum of the Year Award. There are 46 nominees this year and the winners will be announced on May 6th in Zagreb, Croatia.

The award’s aim is to recognize excellence in European museums and to encourage innovative processes for the benefit of society. This award goes to a museum which contributes most directly to attracting audiences and satisfying its visitors with unique atmosphere, imaginative interpretation and presentation, a creative approach to education and social responsibility.

„Even the nomination for this prize is a great acknowledgement for the museum’s work done during the past few years. We are very happy that our team’s efforts and devotion to provide best possible outcome has been noticed not only in Estonia, but also in Europe,“ said the director of the museum, Mr. Margus Jurkatam.

The museum has already got the highest possible recognition in Estonia for it’s permanent exhibiton „A Heart to Heart About Your Body“ – the prize of Estonian Museum of The Year 2015.
