PREGNANCY AND BIRTH

The beginning of a new life is one of the greatest wonders in this world. How does fertilisation happen? What does an embryo do in the mother's womb all day long? How can you calculate the exact birth date of a child? A transparent model of a pregnant woman gives an idea about how the embryo fits in the mother's womb and what kind of changes this brings about in the female organism.

A UNIQUE GLASS WOMAN The history of the Glass Woman dates back to 1928, when the first model of this kind was made in the German Hygiene Museum. Our transparent glass woman dates from 1989, and is so unique she should be on display in the History Museum. However, the electronics and technology miracle of those times is fully functional, presenting the inner organs of the human body in a 9-minute lecture.
